Another beautiful day for fossil hunting in the Lowcountry... The Lyon family visited us from Greenville, SC., on their way to Myrtle Beach, and the Moore couple joined us from the local area. Everyone did very well in their search for fossils, find lots of species of shark to include the Angustiden (Great White Ancestor), Makos, Tigers, etc.. Joanna Moore surprised us all by finding an 1892 S Morgan Silver Dollar in her fossil sifter. Yes this is unusual, but considering the history of the Charleston area anything is possible.
